Besides celebrating our birthday girl, we had a lot of other big changes to make our March pretty crazy. We were preparing for a new baby and I was working hard to get all my clients wrapped up at work or leave detailed instructions for me to transition out of the office. Tyler traveled to Georgia for his first long weekend of a nine month implant course. It's great he has this opportunity and the timing worked out because this is one of the top implant courses available, he has friends that he is taking the course with, and he will be able to start placing implants right as he transitions into private practice. We also listed out house on the market - and we had 2-4 showings for three weeks before getting two offers in a row and accepting one! We took away Meredith's pacifiers at night time and we started potty training! Like I said, lots of crazy!
I seemed to think it was a great idea to start potty training Meredith right before she turned 2, at 35 weeks pregnant, when Tyler was out of town, and when we had to have our house ready for showings, AND actually had to get out of the house at 20 minutes notice and had a 4 hour open house the weekend we started. After the fact, I can now say that I don't know what I was thinking, but as I type this three months later, I'm so happy that she is done. We are officially at underwear during the day, diapers for sleeping. I am hoping she will just train herself for overnight but if not, I am not going to tackle that for a long time ;)
Pulling out all of the baby gear
I probably spent 80% of my days sitting next to the potty chair. Not the most comfortable at the end of my pregnancy! We read lots and lots of books.
Stickers at the doctor
We also spent tons of time in our backyard on the swing. Mer girl is OBSESSED with her "baby swing" and wants to be in it constantly.
Big gear underwear
New trampoline (from G & G) and dress (from Ms. Connie) for her birthday.
I got home from work one day and our nanny had the potty chair in the garage. Ha - so many potty chair pictures! And another birthday gift from Stacy.
We had one day of super cold weather and it snowed! Meredith and Tyler built Mer's first snowman. It was melted and gone within a few hours.
St. Patrick's Day
My good friend, Amelia, came out to visit before baby and although I absolutely loved seeing her and spending time with her, I was the most boring hostess! The weather wasn't great and I was 37 weeks pregnant and still dealing with all the house + potty training craziness. Luckily I think Amelia just wanted to spend time with me and my fam and we had the best time catching up. It is so refreshing spending quality time with a good friend after only seeing her for a short hour on most of my trips back to MN.
This is the outfit that Meredith insisted on wearing to her gymnastics class - a cut off sweatshirt from her Halloween costume (that I have since hidden) and old pants that are way too short on her but still fit in the waist. Side note: I buy 3T for her height but she still wears all her pants and shorts from last summer (12mo.) and they still fit!
This girl loves her Target. Also, I managed to misplace these sunglasses in our move so they were cute while they lasted.
I think I was maybe 38ish weeks here?
Huge weight off our shoulders that we sold our house quick BUT that means adding an extra move in to an apartment in NC before our big move back to MN.
39ish weeks(?) and packing my hospital bags. Poor second child didn't get documented like the first. I finally forgave my mom for never writing anything in my baby book! ha
When Amelia visited she gave Meredith a birthday gift (because she is so incredibly thoughtful!) and this heart shirt was part of it and Meredith must wear it anytime it is clean. Anytime! As in, multiple times a week and in the hot heat. So if she seems to have it on in every picture of her from here on out, she pretty much does.
I think that sums up our March!
