Today is my dad and mom's 33rd wedding anniversary. I could go on and on about how amazing parents, friends, and individuals they are, but I wanted to do a post about their marriage. I asked Tyler why he thinks they have such a great marriage and we came up with this list.
Why their marriage works:
1) They laugh together
2) They respect each other
3) They maintain their independence and keep up their hobbies (girls game night, hunting, fishing, etc.)
4) They have the same values and priorities
5) They travel together
6) They are honest with each other
7) They put family first
8) They have fun together
9) They raised their children as a team
10) They enjoy activities together (walking, gardening, cooking, etc.)
11) They surround themselves with great people and have an amazing support system (friends and family)
12) They genuinely enjoy each other's company
13) They communicate with each other
14) They trust each other
15) They are in love
