Cali Wedding

After weeks of studying non-stop (but still not enough), I finally took the NC bar exam.  The 2 day test was 2 1/2 hours away from my house so I spent a few nights in a hotel.  When I drove home, Tyler had dinner ready and had booked a massage for me the next day.  Perfect!  The next day I slept in, got my nails done, got my massage, quickly packed, and then we headed to the airport for California :)

So ready for a vaca

Tyler's cousin was getting married in Laguna/Dana Point.  Tyler and Ashley are the same age and have remained close over the years so Tyler was honored to be an usher in her wedding.  We flew in late Thursday night.  The groom's dinner was Friday night at the house we rented and the wedding was on Sat. (I will do another post about the rest of our California trip)

Brothers - Tyler and Chris

Ready for the wedding! (It was quite the rush with 16-17 people sharing 1 bath and 2 showers)

The beautiful church in Laguna...yes, that is the ocean behind it.

And with Doug and Michael - missing Chris

The bride and her father

Ashley is the most easy going person ever.  She actually high-fived everyone as she walked down the aisle!

After the wedding, we went straight to the reception site to help finish setting up.  It was AMAZING.  Most of the guests/extended family are not from California so Ashley's mom wanted to make sure that it was a true California experience for all of the guests.  This was by far the best wedding venue I have ever been to, and will ever go to!

Family picture - no Chris did not have an accident, just a bad shadow

Tyler and Zach

Zach did SOOO good at the wedding.  He stood up as a groomsman and even got a brother-sister dance with the bride.

It was so great that almost everyone in the Yahnke family made the trip for the wedding.  We were missing only one cousin and 3 spouses and their kids.  I vote that we pick a destination every year to get everyone together ;)
