My mom pushed for a family beach trip out in NC and I am so glad that we could find a time that worked for everyone! There is nothing I love more than family time. We rented a beach house on the south end of Topsail Island. We each picked a night to make dinner, ate out at The Bistro restaurant (our favorite!), and ordered pizza on the last night. We spent our days going on beach walks, sitting out in the sun, and playing in tide pools. The boys made a trip to some breweries. We saw a sea turtle nest hatch (this is so rare - they normally hatch at night but because of the heat, were hatching early so all the volunteers from the turtle hospital were trying to save the baby turtles. Another side note, Meredith and I also were able to visit the sea turtle hospital and go to a sea turtle release so we have completed our trifecta). We read books. We rented a boat and went out to Lea Island. It was perfect.

I love watching the relationship between these sweet cousins develop. It constantly amazes me how much they love each other for living across the country from each other.

and finished with the grandparents and littles and we never got our family of 3 picture!
Love! Can't wait for more travels with all of these people and our growing family.
Seriously the best parents ever. We are so thankful for these two and the examples they set for us.
