go set ready: 2016 by Month

I am finally getting caught up on the blog and made it through 2016! Here is a quick recap of our year with links sharing pictures and more details in other posts for all of our adventures.

January

Meredith turned 10 months old.

Tyler had a much anticipated shoulder surgery with a LONG recovery.

Meredith turned 11 months.

We had a fun filled Valentine's Day.

We traveled to Pinehurst, NC for a long weekend where I attended a continuing education course.

We enjoyed our gorgeous winter and spent a lot of time outside. I took some pictures of Meredith one day that you can see here.

March

We celebrated Meredith's 1st birthday!

We did even more celebrating when we went on a mini vacation to Asheville and my parents and sister's family met us.

We loved our 2nd Easter with our peanut.

We enjoyed biking with Meredith in her new seat.

And she loved her new car and water table from grandma and grandpa.

And her panda climber from her Busch aunts and uncles.

We celebrated St. Patrick's day

Her lamb onesie is from her uncle Chris from his trip to Ireland.

April

We went back to Minnesota for a visit.

Tyler's dad and Suzanne hosted Meredith's first birthday party for our families.

My brother and Jennifer got married!

We had fun play dates with friends.

We went to the Children's museum with family.

We celebrated Tyler's 29th birthday!

We went strawberry picking.

May

We brunched for Mother's Day at Boca Bay

We kicked off our official beach season.

We took family pictures.

Tyler went on a hog hunting trip.

Meredith's last gymnastics class of the season.

McKinzie visited us.

No picture but we also celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary.

We traveled to Asheville and Lake Lure.

June

I went on a much needed girl's trip to CO with college friends.

The Ceplecha's visited us and we had the best time!

We celebrated Father's day for this guy.

July

So many beach days. It really was the perfect summer and age for the beach with Meredith. I worked 2 days a week and Meredith and I would go to the beach usually 2 of the other days and on weekends with Tyler and friends. Perks of living 5 miles from the ocean.

We celebrated the 4th of July.

Michael came out to visit.

We got to see the Moores when they were back in town!

August

We got to see a sea turtle nest hatch.

My entire family rented a beach house for a week and it was heaven.

We went to the USN dental corps birthday ball.

Tyler and I had a date night to the Old Dominion concert at Greenfield Lake.

We had plenty lunch dates at Daddy Macs.

September

We traveled back to Charleston, SC.

We blinked and Meredith was 18 months!

We celebrated my 30th with a staycation on Wrightsville Beach.

Doug and Suzanne visited.

We shared our baby news with them when they visited. (Some of my family knew right away from when they were out here and we shared with the rest when we went to MN in Oct.)

We had a kid free overnight in Charlotte for hiking, dining, and the Vikings/Panthers game.

Meredith also started gymnastics again after taking the summer off.

October

Meredith and I headed back to MN for a 2 week visit and Tyler joined on the middle weekend.

I co-hosted a baby shower for one of my besties.

We threw a surprise 60th birthday party for my dad.

We said goodbye to our good friends, Sharon and little Avery (and Noel) as they moved back to CA.

We had a great time with Renee when she came to visit.

We celebrated Halloween with our little 80's workout girl.

November

We went to Asheville for Thanksgiving with friends.

Tyler surfed throughout all of winter in his wetsuit. He kept his surfboard in his car and would go right from work before coming home when the waves were good.
